Elsenburg Lecturer Feedback: Tablet Use


1.      Which tablet function you find most promising for teaching or student learning?
2.      Does the laptop/pc have this function?
3.      Will the tablet have a positive/negative effect on your teaching or learning?
4.      In the class where a tablet was used will you feel:
4.1 Important or ignored
4.2 Comfortable or uncomfortable
4.3 Involved in the lecture or restless and bored
4.4 Part of a team or alone
4.5 Sure of where you stand or not sure where you stand
5.      In a class where the tablet is used, can the lecturer be
     5.1 Prepared or  not fully prepared
     5.2 Fair or unfair
      5.3 Helpful or unhelpful
     5.4 Well organised or lacking organisation
     5.5 Sensitive to student needs or insensitive to student needs
     5.6 Fully engaged and exited or seemingly bored
     5.7 Knowledgeable or not on top of the technology /subject
     5.8 Able to make difficult concepts accessible and interesting or over our heads

          6.2 Effective in helping the student learn or ineffective in helping the student learn

          6.4 Too abstract or too simplistic

  1. Have you gotten any feedback from colleauges or students? Did you actually do this survey? Or are you planning to do it? what do your colleagues think about your intervention? how did you modify your design after getting their feedback?

    Being able to save and print explanations (calculations and sketches) done on the tablet and making these explanations available to students.

  4. 1. Which tablet function you find most promising for teaching or student learning?
    2. Publishing the file from the tablet with narration (audio from class) means that whoever missed something in class or those that were absent can go through the explanation for several times until they understand the concept.  In the end the student have the problem and answer with the audio all in one place for easy referencing. 
    3. Does the laptop/pc have this function?
    4. No

    Positive, as it also creates interaction and continuous learning
